Presence of Joy Program
The Presence of Joy Program is an opportunity for Los Angeles High School students to bring joy to children living in domestic violence shelters through planned activities throughout the year. These activities include outdoor games, indoor games, movie nights, arts and crafts, field trips, holiday food drop-offs, making Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts, and more! The Presence of Joy program serves 8 PRESENT NOW Shelter Partners in Los Angeles, impacting 180 children. The intention of the program is to aid in these children's healing process by providing joyful experiences and youth connection.
All local Los Angeles High School students are eligible to participate, and must commit to at least two activities per year in order to be accepted. Applications for the 2021-2022 Academic Year are open now, and will close Friday, August 13, 2021! If you apply after the deadline, you will be considered for the 2022-2023 Academic Year.
