1736 Family Crisis Center was founded in 1972 and has since been responding to the growing needs of victims of domestic violence. They are dedicated to providing cutting-edge, comprehensive programs that are managed by licensed therapists, attorneys and their experienced staff. They are always accessible and ready to help children and families so that they can permanently escape the worst possible conditions of poverty and violence.
Alexandria House was founded in 1996 as a non-profit transitional residence and house of hospitality to provide safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelters to permanent housing. Located in the densely populated and ethnically diverse Mid-Wilshire area, Alexandria House also serves its broader neighborhood community by providing educational and enrichment opportunities for residents and neighbors.
Catalyst Domestic Violence Services is one of our newest shelter partners added in 2021 as part of our National Expansion Project. The mission of Catalyst is to reduce the incidence of intimate partner violence through crisis intervention services, community education and the promotion of healthy relationships. Catalyst was founded in 1977 and serves Butte County in California.

Center for Community Solution's Project Safehouse is located in San Diego, CA. Founded in 1969, this non-profit agency helps more than 10,000 adults and children to heal and prevent relationship and sexual violence. They provide emergency and transitional shelters to victims and their children, hospital and court accompaniment, as well as legal and counseling services for those affected by domestic violence and assault. CCS also works with local community groups and schools to provide innovative prevention programs to promote healthy relationships with peaceful communities.

CORA is the only agency in San Mateo County that is solely dedicated to helping those affected by domestic violence. Since 1977, they have been providing crisis intervention with a 24 hour hotline and an Emergency Response Program that works with San Mateo County law enforcement agencies. They also have been offering safe houses for the past 40 years that accommodate both female and male survivors of domestic abuse along with their children.

DOVES of Big Bear Valley provides a 24 hour hotline, legal assistance and both an emergency and transitional shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children. The DOVES transitional program helps prevent homelessness by assisting clients financially with rent, utilities, childcare and other subsidies. DOVES is the only shelter in the San Bernardino Mountain community.

Haven Hills, Inc. is a crisis and transitional shelter created in 1977 located in Canoga Park, CA. They offer shelter, crisis intervention counseling and advocacy to victims primarily in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. Every year, Haven Hills helps over 2,500 women and men find the strength within themselves to build a new, productive, and positive life for themselves and their children. Haven Hills works to save lives, inspire change, and transform victims to empowered survivors.

Interface Children and Family Services serves Ventura County and provides comprehensive family violence programming that aims to prevent, interrupt and end the cycle of violence within family systems. ICFS addresses the complex issues of family violence which can include child abuse, dating violence and domestic violence, by providing safe and supportive services to victims while simultaneously encouraging abuser accountability and preventing the future perpetration of family violence.​​

Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles and Hope Transitional serves homeless families as well as battered women and their children. The shelters are staffed by highly qualified professional staff, trained to deal with the unique needs of their clients. Shelter residents, in their emergency and transitional shelters, benefit from a wide array of other services provided by JFS, including individual therapy, support groups, case management, food and hunger services and vocational and legal assistance. JFS operates a 24-hour hotline for women who are in all stages of abusive relationships.

My Sister's House is one of our newest shelter partners added in 2021 as part of our National Expansion Project. Their mission is to serve Asian and Pacific Islander and other underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by providing a culturally appropriate and responsive safe haven, job training, and community services.

Ruby's Place is one of our newest shelter partners added in 2021 as part of our National Expansion Project. Ruby's place provides survivors with crisis services, shelter, counseling, children's services, and more. Ruby's Place also provides educational training and technical assistance to law enforcement and providers. Founded in the 1970s, Ruby's Place is committed to end domestic violence and human trafficking, one person at a time.

SU CASA is an emergency and transitional shelter located in Long Beach, CA. Founded by a domestic abuse survivor in 1979, their belief is that "every individual has the right to live free from violence or the threat of violence." In conjunction with their two shelters, Su Casa has a 24-hour crisis hotline, therapy pets and a walk-in resource center that offers information, referrals and safety planning. In addition, they provide essential community education and outreach.
Center For The Pacific Asian Family​ is located in Los Angeles, CA and was founded in 1978 to help address domestic violence and sexual assault in the Asian and Pacific Islander communities. With an emergency and two transitional shelters that are both multi-lingual and multi-cultural, CPAF's mission is to build healthy and safe communities by addressing the root causes and the consequences of family violence and violence against women. In addition, CPAF has a comprehensive, free of charge Community Program.
Community Resource Center opened in 2004 to provide emergency shelter and transitional housing for women and children fleeing domestic violence. They provide more than just a safe living environment. Residents also receive comprehensive social services to facilitate transition to healthier, happier and safer lives, including legal advocacy, case management, individual and group counseling, transitional housing possibilities and a therapeutic children's center.

Domestic Violence Resource Center is one of our newest Shelter Partners added in 2021 as part of our National Expansion Project. Located in Washoe County, Nevada, DVRC offers community advocacy, professional counseling, and confidential shelter services to victims of domestic abuse. Since 1977, DVRC has been rebuilding safe and hopeful lives for victims.
Domestic Violence Solutions for Santa Barbara County is working to end the intergenerational cycle of domestic violence by providing prevention and intervention services and by challenging society’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviors to effect change. They provide a comprehensive 40-hour Domestic Violence Training Certification along with providing a transitional shelter for women and children in need.

Genesis Women's Shelter and Support is our first shelter partner in the state of Texas as part of our National Expansion Project. Their mission is to provide safety, shelter and support for women who have experienced domestic violence, and to raise awareness regarding its cause, prevalence and impact.

Good Shepherd Shelter is a transitional shelter established in 1977 in Los Angeles, CA. They provide a safe, nurturing environment in which mothers and children can heal, reawaken their dignity and self-confidence, and learn the skills that will help them stop the cycle of domestic violence.

House of Ruth, located in Claremont, CA has been providing lifesaving domestic violence services for residents of eastern Los Angeles and western San Bernardino counties since 1977. Their transitional living program offers free case management and other services for up to two years. The program addresses the long-term needs of the survivors and their children, providing the opportunity to work toward their goals of independent, non-violent homes. ​

Human Options was the first transitional shelter to open in South Orange County in 1993. For over thirty years, they have provided safe havens and life-saving programs to help women, children and their families rebuild their lives and help to end the cycle of domestic violence. To date, they have served over 30,000 individuals in their counseling and shelter programs.

Interval House was founded in 1979 as a lifeline to underserved victims in crisis. The mission of Interval House is to provide safety for those who are battered, abused or at risk and to create public awareness about the epidemic of violence with the intent of ending this recurring phenomenon. Today, Interval House has strengthened its mission and purpose by offering specialized programs and services in over 70 different languages for both youth and adult victims.
Jenesse Center, Inc. is an emergency and transitional shelter established in 1980 in South Los Angeles with a resolute mission: to restore, and provide trauma informed, culturally responsive, holistic, comprehensive services to survivors and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence, and to advance prevention modalities to sustain healthy and safe communities free of violence.

Marjaree Mason Center has been providing emergency and longer-term safe housing for victims of domestic violence in Fresno County, CA since 1979. MMC ensures that victims of domestic violence are provided a safe place to reside while their traumatic situation is addressed. In two transitional shelters, clients take part in case management and educational opportunities, learn independent living skills and develop a means of income, and attain the necessary resources to move into a domestic violence-free household.

Morongo Basin Unity Home is located in Yucca Valley, CA and is a non-profit organization that helps victims of domestic violence and their families move toward living more independent and self-sufficient lives free from the fear of abuse. In their transitional housing, their clients are offered services including, but not limited to, individual counseling, parenting classes, legal aid, childcare and court support.

Project Sanctuary is a transitional shelter formed in the late 1970’s and is located in Ukiah, CA. Project Sanctuary serves over 2000 men, women and children in the Mendocino County area each year, offering a wide array of services including a 24-hour crisis hotline, individual counseling, support groups, legal advocacy and prevention education for all ages.

Rainbow Services is an emergency and transitional shelter located in San Pedro, CA. As women work to secure economic resources and permanent housing, Rainbow Services offers up to twelve months of supportive housing in Villa Paloma where they are offered counseling, case management, health and wellness services and children’s enrichment.

South Peninsula Haven House is our first shelter partner in the state of Alaska!  South Peninsula Haven House supports and empowers individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse by advocating for justice and providing safe shelter, crisis intervention, prevention, and victim advocacy. Since 1981, Haven House's mission remains the same: to protect and support victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.

Urban Resource Institute was founded in 1980 with the intent of improving the lives of New Yorkers, with a specific focus on survivors of domestic violence. Their program helps individuals and families escape abuse, safely heal, and gain the resources to live healthy, independent lives. URI is one of only a few national organizations that extend their services to pets as well.

St. Vincent De Paul Society of San Francisco is one of our newest shelter partners added in 2021 as part of our National Expansion Project. For over 30 years, the Riley Center has served as a safe, welcoming environment for all survivors of domestic violence, regardless of age, race, religion, sexual orientation or marital status. Every year, the Riley Center helps hundreds of survivors end the cycle of abuse.

Weave, Inc. is one of our newest shelter partners added in 2021 as part of our National Expansion Project. WEAVE is the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County.  WEAVE also provides 24/7 response, outreach, and services for victims of sex trafficking.

Women and Children’s Crisis Center is an emergency and transitional shelter founded in 1977 that is located in Whittier, CA. What began as just a hotline for battered women, has grown into a comprehensive program which includes: a 24 hour hotline which offers crisis assistance, an emergency 45 day shelter which offers a safe and secure place for refuge and recovery of domestic violence victims, and a 9-month transitional shelter.
Women's Resource Center is one of our newest shelter partners added in 2021 as part of our National Expansion Project. WRC is dedicated to providing the highest quality supportive services, counseling, shelter and education to North San Diego County women, children and men involved in or threatened by domestic violence or sexual assault.
